Philadelphia Flyers trade Mike Richards to the Los Angeles Kings

Philadelphia Flyers trade Mike Richards to the Los Angeles Kings for Brayden Schenn, Wayne Simmonds and a second round pick.

The Flyers are creating a younger, cheaper team and it gives them the cap space to sign Ilya Bryzgalov and improve their team in other ways.

For the Los Angeles Kings, it gives them a proven center who will take pressure off of Kopitar and fits perfectly into the Kings system. While, the Kings still need another goal scorer before they become one of the top three in the Western Conference. They should now get out of the first round.
